A ductless mini split is a type of heating and cooling system that is designed to provide an individual room or zone temperature control without the use of ductwork. Unlike central heating and air conditioning systems, which rely on ducts to distribute air throughout a building, ductless mini splits use individual air handlers installed in each room or zone to deliver conditioned air directly into the space.
Ductless mini splits consist of two main components: an outdoor unit and one or more indoor units. The outdoor unit contains the compressor and other key components, while the indoor units contain the evaporator and air handler. The indoor and outdoor units are connected by a conduit that contains the refrigerant lines, power cables, and drainage tubing.
Ductless mini splits are highly efficient, as they allow for targeted heating and cooling of specific areas, which reduces energy waste by not heating or cooling areas that are not in use. They are also easy to install, require minimal maintenance, and can be controlled remotely through a mobile app or remote control.
